SeeJ-AFRICA is currently watching over one hundred wildlife cases within Nairobi and Mombasa area. At Mombasa Court specifically there are four major ivory trafficking prosecutions ongoing.
Our court coverage is presently on a volunteer and part time basis. It is the goal, funding dependent, to continue on a full time basis, not only in Mombasa and Nairobi but to move to the courts that have a significant number of ivory cases, particularly in the areas of Masai Mara, Tsavo, Amboseli, and Meru.
We recognize that the work we do is not glamorous or eye catching or easy to measure, but there is no doubt as its importance in mitigating wildlife crime in both the short and long term.
We ask that anyone who wishes to contribute please contact us at info@seej-africa.org.
