SEEJ-AFRICA:

  • On January 18th, 2023, intelligence from the Mara Elephant Project led to a joint operations arrest of one ivory poacher.
  • KWS with Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) arrested one man with two tusks weighing a total of 35.84 kg, based on that MEP intelligence.
  • No details as to location of arrest or court for arraignment.
